As this is a different issue from my previous one, I hope you do not mind me starting a new topic.

I have created a website for a club, using BuddyPress to give every member their own profile. Each member should be able to upload photos to their personal gallery using MediaPress through their front-end profile.

However, I just got a notification from a member (subscriber) that he is unable to create his own gallery. The Type dropdown is empty, and while it is possible to enter a value into the Title field, when the Create button is clicked (I use the Dutch language pack so I might have mistranslated), there is no gallery created.

I have edited his role capabilities to allow him to upload media, but this seems to have no effect.

This problem seems to apply to all member roles, including administrator. I was able to create a gallery on a subscriber account on January 15, so if something has changed, it has to have happened after that day.

    Hi,
Thank you for using the plugin.
Since you are using both members and sitewide gallery, can you please let me know if the issue is coming form members gallery creation or sitewide gallery creation page.

Also, any chance you are using the shortcode for creating gallery? If yes, Please share the shortcode that you are using.

    Regards

Hello, thank you for getting back at me.

The issue is related to the members gallery creation. I can create sitewide galeries through the backend just fine.

    I am indeed using a shortcode, namely [mpp-list-gallery component=members].
I am using shortcode [mpp-list-gallery component=sitewide] on the same page and before the previous shortcode though, if it matters (which, again, works as intended).

Thank you for the reply. I can understand the issue now.
The problem is we have multiple settings for type(global and component specific and bot must be enabled).

Please visit Dashboard->MediaPress->Settings and click on “General Tab” and make sure the photo/other types are ticked/enabled here.

Then click on the “Members Gallery” tab and make sure the types you intend to use are enabled here. Update these settings and Save.

That should fix it. Please let me know if that works or not?

    Regards

Unfortunately, it seems it is an issue within my custom theme. I have switched to the Twenty Twenty-Five theme and it all works well… looks like I have some problem solving to do myself.

I’m sorry for bothering you. Thank you for your help.

Oddly, switching back to my own theme seems to have solved the issue. Weird, but I’m not complaining.

    Hi,
I am not sure but it could be some kind of caching(most probably opcode caching).
