User group can’t delete doc folder

    I have a issue whit this plugin: user group can’t delete folder!
    If user clic manage folders, click “Delete” and then check the “I understand the consequences and wish to continue deleting this folder.” and then click delete again but just refreshes it seems.
    There is solution about this?

    Another question:
    I also find a way to block the possibility for members of a group to change the name of folder (ex. only amdin and moderator can do it): it’s possible?

    Hi @kaosone-

    When the page refreshes after the failed folder deletion, is there any message displayed? Looking at the function that processes the request, there are many places that the deletion could fail:

    It looks like these are possible issues: bad nonce (WordPress uses nonces as a security token), user doesn’t have the correct permissions, or a problem with the $_POST data. Can you add this code to your bp-custom.php file or your theme’s functions.php file and see if any messages are returned when the folder deletion fails?

    It’s also possible that another plugin is interacting with the request. Can you try deleting a folder with a standard WP theme (like 2017) active and most of your plugin deactivated?

    Re your second question: It’s not currently possible to edit only the folder name. The permissions for updating the folder cover updating all of the details.

    Hello,

    I’ve the same issue.

    User can create / update a directory but cannot delete it.

    With @dcavins code in my functions.php, it tells me that ‘User does not have permission’.

    Do your have a solution?

    Hi @cmonjeau-

    Thanks for refreshing this topic. The problem is an error in the plugin’s markup: The “Delete” button is visible to group members (who are allowed to edit existing folders), but only group admins can delete group-associated folders.

    This inconsistency is addressed in https://github.com/dcavins/buddypress-docs/commit/81b4f3a3ee3cf59b9e4714d4580d401ea23e66e2 which will be included in the next version of BP Docs.
