User Image Expecting Gravatar
-
Ever since the latest WP update (4.8), I’ve noticed that any profile where I’ve added a Custom Profile Pic, it does not display on the public site, and seems to be expecting a Gravatar image instead.
For example here’s one page:
https://atticusreview.org/vanishing-point/If you scroll down to the author profile at the bottom, the image is blank, but if you right click and open image in new tab, it opens Gravatar and wants there to be an image there.
In the WP Admin, the image for the profile shows fine. And when I copy the URL of that image and put it in my browser, it also displays fine. If I add the image to the profile again and “Update,” then go back to the public side, the profile pic displays properly with the public profile. It no longer expects there to be a Gravatar. It seems like something got “reset” and WordPress expects Gravatar for all profiles even when there is a Custom Pic. Can you suggest a way to get the images to display again without going into all the user profiles and resetting the images. We are a magazine and have hundreds of user profiles.
