Unfortunately, they cannot see folder structures belonging to other users. Each account can only see its own folder tree.
They can go to “All files” to see all media there, but no folder tree. Hope this clears your concerns.

The user is the same. Not two different users.
The same user that created the folders before user-protection is active as the user after user-protection is activated.
Some background: Why I am I interested in this? The site was developed initially for one user/admin. It did not need the user-protection mode and I did not know it even existed when the site was created – I never checked for such as was not required. I now need to activate a new admin and thus the interest in user – protection mode as another admin will have site access. I would rather not have to re-create the folder structure in user-protection mode for the original user.

I think I need to have purchased FileBird to get such support. At present I am using the free version. I considered buying a copy for the site but with no guarantee this issue can be fixed it could be a waste of money.
