User permissions for widget editing

    Editors cannot edit widgets, even though they have access to Appearance. Is there a capability needed to manage widgets in the admin?

    Hello @bulletrainy .

    Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails does not restrict the editing options for widgets. It is a global setting. The general capability to edit widgets is edit_theme_options. An editor does not have this capability; only the “Administrator” role grants it.
