What plugin are you using to add Twitter to a user profile?
@sterndata
Thank you for the reply.
I am not using any plugin for twitter. It is the standard WP profile page for users.
Thanks,
Tracey
No, it’s not. This is provided by a plugin or your theme.
@sterndata
I disagree because I have not added any kind of twitter plugin to WordPress.
On the users profile page it lists their address, what networks they are on etc. This has always been on WordPress. The page is where they can edit their own profile etc.
Thanks Tracey
Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
@sterndata
I did that prior to posting the post on the forums.
Thanks,
Tracey
This is what I see on WP with no plugins installed,using the twentytwentyone theme:
@sterndata
Interesting, that looks very different to what I see.
Now I am totally confused.
I see all these below.
Contact Info
Email (required)
Website
AIM
Yahoo IM
Jabber / Google Talk
Facebook profile URL
Instagram profile URL
LinkedIn profile URL
MySpace profile URL
Pinterest profile URL
SoundCloud profile URL
Tumblr profile URL
Twitter username (without @)
YouTube profile URL
Wikipedia page about you
(if one exists)
Could woocoomerce have introduced them?
Thanks Tracey
Perhaps. This is NOT from core WP. Please disable all plugins and change to the twentytwentyone theme as a test to see what’s providing these.
@sterndata
I will give it another go tonight, can’t do it at the moment because its a live site and I need to select my moment to run tests.
thanks,
Tracey
