    Hi Luke are you referring to WordPress User Roles under WordPress Admin Users or Simple Membership plugin level set up? If you are referring to Simple Membership plugin, just go to WP Members -> Membership Level and select the level you wish to make changes to.

    Hi,

    When user subscribes to any level of WP Membership then he’s automatically added as a WordPress user in role “Subscriber”.

    My questions is how to make the members the authors automatically instead of the subscribers.

    I tried to set up a default role in WP settings, but it didn’t make any difference.

    Thanks

    Hi, try the following. Go to WordPress admin Settings -> General -> New User Default Role and make sure it is set to Author. Then try singing up as a new test user. Then let me know if it works for you.

    I wrote you that I’ve done it before 🙂

    Yes that is true you did mentioned that above 🙂

    Try the following test. Disable the plugin and re-enable the plugin? Before doing this can you also deactivate all your other plugins except this one?

    OK, I solved this another way, so I’ll skip it for now as users use the website, but thank you for your hel and I’ll get back to you if I have any more questions.

    I’m closing the thread.

    Best & Thank you for the plugin.

    Selectively allowing access to certain levels of membership to some categories only serves for Posts? I can not enable static pages?

    My need is the following: I did not find in the Plugin an option that allows me to hide the menus according to the level of user connected to a certain page, that is, if I do not want that logged in user to see a specific page I did not find this one Option to inhibit / hide the page next to the menu etc. I had to do a maneuver by installing the plugins;
    Nav Menu Roles: To be able to hide the pages of the menu
    User Role Editor: To create new role / user type
    Imagine the work I have to assign a page rs …

    I would like to know if we can assign these functions without having to work with 2 more Parallel Plugins in order …
    Thanks in advance and I await a possible return.
