It would be nice if the Editor role was able to manage locations. Right now you have to be an Admin to manage locations and I never give clients Admin accounts as it shows them way more than they need and they can actually mess things up. I can use a user role editor to allow Editors the “manage_options” capability but then they also see the settings menu and other plugin menus (like ACF) which I’d rather they don’t see.

The 2.0 version will come with a ‘Store Locator Manager’ role that is only capable of managing stores, it doesn’t have access to the settings page.

If you want to I can email you the beta? It is feature complete, I have to clean up the code, do more bug testing and writing proper documentation before I will release it.

But as far as I know it all works fine. So if you want to test it, you can email me at info at tijmensmit.com. I will however be gone for three days, so based on if / when you email me you might have to wait a few days before I respond.

    Perfect! Thanks 🙂 I’ll wait.

    Hi Tijmen,
actually I do need to enable Editors to manage the Store Locator so I need this improvement as well.
When will the version 2.0 be released?
Or can i modify any actual files of plugin version 1.2.24 to get it?

    Thanks and regards.
