I want to publish the user submitted posts on only one page. Yet, when I select the category I want to put the posts in, the posts end up in the category I put them in along with the one on the front page. I do not want it to show on the front page. How can I do that?

This sort of modification is outside the functionality of USP, but is doable by editing your theme template files and excluding categories from the Loop. Also USP provides a template tag, usp_is_public_submission(), which you can use to display/hide all USP posts. You can learn more about the tag in /library/template-tags.php.
