Hi, I have been trying to use Download Monitor with another plugin to Embed the PDF file in to the page. The Embed itself works well when files uploaded with Media Library, but when using the URL from Download Monitor, then I can not access the file.
The Idea behind: Restaurant website – minimal design…
Links on Nev Menu to open PopUp with the Embedded restaurant menu.
Client will upload updated restaurant menu into Download Monitor and links are still the same, but file will be updated with latest version – that part is absolutely ok.
But not working when trying to insert file URL from Download Monitor to embedded code.
Can you pls give any advice how to make it possible… if possible…
    Thank you!

  • Hello,

When using just our plugin, do the downloads work? Please note that we do not offer support for any other plugins. If you are using 3rd party plugins which are having an issue, I would suggest testing just our plugin and if our plugin is working correctly, then I would recommend contacting the developers of the other plugins.

Hi, Actually I figured out the problem – As all the files uploaded to dlm_ folder they are protected with .htaccess file. So only possible to access them with the plugin controls. So I have renamed the .htaccess file and now it’s works, basically folder become unprotected as any other media folder in WP and I can use DLM permalink to the file with other plugins.
    Regards,
    Kos
