Username not registered Error message

    I am getting an error message: ‘Error: the username johnpbre is not registered on this site’
    I have been using this username since 2014. I am locked out of my admin area. This is the third time this has happened in the past months. With support through the WP forum I reinstalled the database from my UpdraftVault backup and that worked for a few months until it happened again two weeks ago. I did the same reinstall and that worked. However, the error message has recurred today!

    Hi there,

    Do you have any other account or can you use an email address to login?

    If you have then I would suggest you check the user accounts for “johnpbre” to see if it is still there.

    Hi there,
    When I have tried to use my email address instead of my username, I get a message saying that the password is incorrect for this address!?

    Hi,

    See if you can use the lost your password and get into the account that way.

    Hi Again,
    I logged out from my website and came back again just now and the new password that worked earlier is now not being recognised as correct for the email address!!?
