Users registered as administrators

    Hi.

    Last week a vulnerability appeared in the Elementor plugin that allowed the options table to be updated.

    My “default_role” was updated to “administrator” because of this bug, so all users who registered at that time, were registered as admins.

    Afterward, I solved the problem by changing it and updating the Elementor PRO plugin. But my question is: why didn’t the Ithemes Security plugin alert me that the “default_role” was in administrator, if it’s dangerous?

    Or this is a functionality of only the PRO version?

    Hi @gonzalesc,

    I’m afraid that the iThemes plugin or any similar plugin does not include the feature to notify the admin when the default role changes.
