Users unable to input 2FA code when logging in

    I have a front end login page that is not using (wp-admin or wp-login.php)

    when a user has 2FA enabled they are not able to login because the 2FA code was not entered.

    Do you have an option to include a shortcode or code where I can allow users to insert their 2FA from this custom login page I have created.

    Also the backend QR codes works, but on the front end the QR code is made up with tables and the scanners on phones can not read it.

    Hi,

    Are you sure you’re using this plugin? There’s no code for either outputting front-end and back-end differently, or for outputting QR codes using tables. The QR code is an inline image – see this screenshot from the browser inspector (front-end):

    As you can see, I am using your plugin but it is not proving the QR Code the same way on the frontend.

    The backend 2FA works like you reference.

    Interesting… looking at the source code of the “jQuery qrcode” library (that generates the image) – https://larsjung.de/jquery-qrcode/ – I think it does have a ‘table’ mode, though I have no idea why it’s deciding to use it on your site.

    So, I suppose that there are some CSS rules in your theme which decide to style the table. Do you get the same if you switch to a default theme (e.g. TwentyEighteen)? I think you’ll want to use your browser’s style inspector – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/inspect-styles/ – to find those rules, and turn them off.

    Looking at the code in the plugin, it specifies ‘image’ mode everywhere. So I wonder also if either you have another plugin with a different qrcode module in which is over-riding it, or if for some reason it doesn’t like the browser. Do you get the same result if you de-activate all other plugins and use a different browser?
