Hi Tronds,
Thank you for reaching out!
Just to confirm, it sounds like the issue you’re encountering is that new users are being registered and logged in without being prompted to configure 2FA—correct? Just to clarify, our plugin cannot be used to activate another user 2FA directly. Instead, each individual user needs to set it up themselves.
If that’s the case, here are a couple of steps that should help:
- Enable the 2FA Front-End Page: Make sure this page is accessible to users who don’t have access to the default WordPress dashboard. This will allow users to configure 2FA directly. You can read more about setting up this front-end page here (link to Configure 2FA Front-End Page).
- Disable the Grace Period: Ensure that the grace period for configuring 2FA is disabled. This way, new users will be prompted to set up 2FA immediately upon login. More details about configuring grace periods can be found [here].
With these settings, new users should see the 2FA setup wizard as soon as they log in and won’t be able to proceed with any site actions until they’ve configured 2FA.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards
