Using a Shotcode for the Downloadable File URL

I am using Amazon S3 to store my protected download files and S3MediaVault as a means to provide protected URL’s.

S3MediaVault creates a URL by using a shortcode, e.g. [s3mvp id=’1′], but this does not work in the URL field and comes back with “http://[s3mvp%20id=’1’%5D”. If I use this shortcode in a button or on a page it gives me the protected URL.

Is there any way to allow the shortcode to be used for the URL in the “Downloadable File” field entry?
