Using ACF in slide’s layers

I’ve looked through the docs, other posts and couldn’t find much help related to this. The closest I’ve got is some ‘data’ button that isn’t even there.
I’m using the free version currently, and I’d like to use my custom fields in the slide. Here’s what I’ve done to replicate it:
Create new slide from Post (Can’t do dynamic slides since I want to import a custom post type, only for PRO.). Post content appears without a problem, but I can’t get my ACF out.
e.g. {description/slide} pulls the description out, but what about my acf? I’ve tried {event_start/slide} etc to no avail.I do know how to code, and would be able to get my variables through by using get_field etc, but no idea how to do it through the smartslider3 gui.
If this is a PRO feature, I would consider getting it. Otherwise, any alternative solution would be greatly appreciated.
