Using [content] to display from a specific post

Hi,

When using [content] to display a custom field from a custom post type, is it possible to select that post by searching with a custom field value or do we have to use [loop type=”xyz” field_to_search=”nameoffield” value=”valuetosearchfor” count=”1″]
