Using Ecommerce Plugin; Which Theme Type to Use?

    Hello,

    I’m going to be making a shopping cart site for a friend soon, and I would like to know if there are any drawbacks to using a WP theme that isn’t specifically designed for ecommerce.

    Does it really matter? I wouldn’t be surprised if there are great advantages to using an ecommerce-specific theme over a regular theme. I just don’t know what they could be.
