Yes this is very much possible. You can MAP your images which are in Google Drive with WordPress Media Library. Please see this URL and i am sure this is what you are looking for.

@szeeshanali Google no longer allow direct linking to files on Google drive and that tutorial is no longer valid. I know this because I relied on it heavily in a site I manage and have had to develop my own plugin to use archive.org instead.
@criordan Depending on the licensing of your media, if you can host it at https://www.archive.org/ then you can use my plugin too to add the media to your media library and use it as normal from there:
