Using FB Comments Code instead of Plugin – How to keep comments?

    Hi,

    I have been using the facebook comments plugin on my blog. Now I would like to manually add the FB Comments code to my site so the comments count would work (and I also want to get rid off as many plugins as possible).

    The problem is that when I add the comments code to my single.php, all comments that have been left before are deleted and it starts from 0 again. Is there a way to keep the comments? I mean, its still facebook comments!

    I would appreciate any help! Thanks a lot in advance!
