You would need to deactivate the Jetpack Subscriptions module if you want the Jetpack post subscriptions to stop, but yes that would remove the comment subscriptions too.
Jetpack subscriptions are managed by the subscriber, so the only other alternative would be to ask each subscriber to unsubscribe themselves via the Manage link at the bottom of their last post email.
If you do want to go ahead with just disabling Jetpack’s Subscriptions module, there are plenty of alternatives just for comment subscriptions: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search.php?q=comment+subscriptions
Great, thank you, I think I will deactivate Jetpack subscriptions and install a comment subscription plugin. Thanks!

Hey all, was wondering if anyone can help me out with the following:
I am transferring over to MailChimp instead of JetPack for notifying followers of new posts by email…unfortunately, my followers/subscribers and I have found the JetPack subscription emails to be REALLY unreliable and only about 1/4 of the subscribers ever make it onto the list after clicking subscribe…so I set up a MailChimp account, created a list, put a subscribe form in the sidebar, and created a newsletter…all going well. I am waiting on just one more person to transfer over to the new MailChimp subscription list (if they want), but once they do, I want to be sure that they are not all being emailed 2x for each post (1 from MailChimp, 1 from JetPack).
Now, I suppose I could just deactivate the JetPack Subscriptions feature, but that would also remove the ability for users to subscribe to comments, right? I basically want the best of both worlds: emails only from MailChimp, and some way to allow people to subscribe to their comments.
Any suggestions?
Any help is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.
