    Hello,

I want to use a mesocolumn-child theme, but I’m getting a blank page when I create a mesocolumn-child on the themes directory.
I’ve tryed copying some templetes on mesocolumn-child existing folder (inside mesocolumn folder), but the files are not read.
Any idea of how to use a mesocolumn-child theme?

    Thanks
    Manolo

the child theme folder must not be in the parent theme’s folder, but has to be directly in /wp-content/themes/

working fine to me. i use the mesocolumn-child inside the mesocolumn.
copy or moved it into wp-content/themes/

I don’t know what’s going on, but when I move the child folder to the themes directory and activate it, I’m getting a blank page and Internal Server Error.

tried again and works fine with tons of plugin activated like bp, bbpress, seo plugin etc. try activate default theme and re-activate the child theme again.

I’ve found out that the error comes when I copy the functions.php file into mesocolumn-child theme. What can be happening?

you simply can’t. you can create a new functions.php but not copy paste from the parent functions.php

That’s it! I don’t what I was thinking about! It works with an empty functions.php file into child theme. Thank you
