I will have quite a number of pages on my site when it’s rebuilt, and, eventually :-), made public.

Many of the pages need visitor input in the form of questions.

When I use the shortcode to allow posts to display on the page, along with the photos, a post on any page shows up on every page where the shortcode is added.

The goal is to have the visitor comments on one page display on that page only, so that if a visitor visits a number of different pages, they can add a post on each, and when each comment is approved, it should only display on the page which had that visitor post originally.

I’m clearly missing something, have read all documentation, looked for videos etc., but cannot seem to make this work.

Suggestions…. all received with my thanks.

    Hi Bill,

Glad to help, it sounds like you need to disable either/both of the following options:

    • Featured Image
    • Auto-Display Images

Those settings determine if the plugin displays any images, so hit one or both of those and you should be good to go.

Thanks Jeff. The Featured Image was disabled, and I want the visitor uploaded images displayed on their post if they upload them.

In this section: Auto-Display Content I have selected: Auto-display before post content and the uploaded images display in the post which is what I want.

The issue is, when I put the display code on several pages, the original post on the one page appears on all the pages, and I only want the posts submitted for one page to display on that one page… does that make sense?

    Thanks,
    Bill

And thanks for your email response on another issue. I emailed direct before I found this forum.

For what it’s worth, I was putting this code on each page where I wanted visitors to post comments and photos:

    [usp_display_posts]

    [usp_gallery]

Thanks for those that offered their guidance. If you have further insight, please add a comment.

It all works now, but the same post is appearing on every page where I put this code, and that I am trying to prevent.

    Thanks again… not quite solved.

It sounds like something is interfering with normal functionality, most likely another plugin or maybe something the theme is doing. My best advice is to either do some basic troubleshooting to determine the issue, OR set up a quick WP install, leave everything at defaults, and try again. That way you are working with a clean slate and can see how USP works normally out of the box.

OK, I’ll give it a try.

    Thanks.
