using only the featured posts

Hello,
I wonder if there is a way to use in the slider only the articles that I mark as featured or only particular articles (by the post ID, for example)? It only has the option of using ALL the articles of a certain category and thus I can’t use the smoke template that shows a full size image because I can’t make up so big pictures for all the articles.
