Using Openhook on my Thesis theme???

Hi fellow WordPress Fans

I have a problem I would love some advice with. I am using thesis on a theme I have developed for a client and I want to add content to the header only on the homepage. I would like to use Openhook or custom_functions.php. Can someone give me an idea of how I can do this.

Basically I have this animation and logo here on the homepage: http://drstephenhardy.com by my client does not want the navigation on all the pages. He would like his logo on all the other pages. I have read that I can do it with functions and the like but my experience with these is very limited. Any help will be very much appreciated.
