Hi! My theme came packaged with Essential Grid and I’m pretty happy with it, however I wanted something that would pull in a feed from Google Photos and found Photonic.

However it appears that the two don’t play well together and Photonic is causing my Essential Grid items to render funny.

Does this happen to be a known issue?

I’m not very conversant with WordPress: I was kind of dropped in to a position that includes maintaining this site that had only been barely built by my predacecessor so it’s there but full of stuff that says “coming soon” or doesn’t work and I’m a little lost.

    Thank you!

Photonic doesn’t interfere with any known plugin whatsoever, since it is written to specifically target galleries created by itself and nothing else. The reverse is often true, where another plugin can mess up Photonic layouts and lightboxes.

To provide better help I will need a URL.

Ok good to know. I didn’t know if maybe they were both trying to use the gallery shortcode? I only halfway know what I’m talking about, haha!

The page that is using both is nhs-cba.org/news but only the Essential Grid is active right now. I’m still in the process of turning plugins back on one by one in order to be sure who the culprit is but have run into a caching issue with Cloudflare. (I know how to fix it but I’m away from a PC)

But Photonic was the last plugin I installed before things went weird. I’d not installed anything new for a few months.

Can you activate Photonic and explain what issue you are observing where?

FYI I’ve not been ignoring this. The issue disappeared when I turned the plugin off but has yet to reappear when I turn it back on so it’s a mystery for now. Main thing is that everything is working, I suppose! Although it isn’t, but that’s a new issue I’m going to start a topic for. Thanks.
