using phpMyAdmin 2.4.0 to solve Can’t select database ERROR? How? Help!

    Okay this is what I get when i try to access wordpress.

    Can’t select database

    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the ericvta_wrdp1 database.

    * Are you sure it exists?
    * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?

    If you don’t know how to setup a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.

    My host is Godaddy and I am using it on Deluxe Hosting with ASP, which means Operating System is windows.

    And the manager they used is phpMyAdmin 2.4.0.

    Does anybody know how to add user to the database using phpMyAdmin 2.4.0?

    I’d suggest you search for “godaddy” and “database problems” using the very obvious search box. There’s a ton of info in the past about this.

    I just can’t figure out what to do by reading those tons of info. I already changed the operation system to Linux. Still don’t work.

    I am new to everything, wordpress, MySQL and PHP, can somebody told me if i should solve the problem by adding user to the database? And how to add it using phpMyAdmin 2.4.0. All I saw on the website is using CPanel.
