Using plugin in a theme search page

    Hi! Thanks a lot for the plugin! I need to enable a search page to retrieve results from inside xml documents attached to posts. Do you think it is possible to use your plugin (or something similar) to achieve this? Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delayed response, as I am out traveling.

    I’m afraid this plugin won’t help with what you need to do, although it can search through XML documents, it’s set up as an administrative tool in the back-end for looking through (and editing) any file in your WordPress install.

    I had a quick look and I saw https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-file-search/ which might do what you need (XML isn’t listed as a supported format, but it’s just text so should work), but it’s not been updated in a while so I can’t say if it’s reliable or not, but doesn’t hurt to try it.
