• Hi

I am using ShiftNav for Menu also trying to add your nice plugin effect as the menu links to different sections on a landing page.

In the Menus section in WP Admin I am trying to set the url as http://www.site.com#aboutus but either WP or ShiftNav is adding /#aboutus.

This is causing the page to reload prior to the scroll effect.

ShiftNav has it’s own scroll but there is no easing it is just a sudden jump. They are also using Data Attributes to facilitate the link to target as opposed to # to id.

    Help appreciated!!!

I just want to have the scroll effect without the page load!!

    Ant

    Hello,

It sounds like your theme or ShiftNav overwrites ‘Page scroll to id’ functions, at least on the wp menu links. By your description, I’m guessing that this is coming from the theme itself (what happens with content/non-menu links?).

If the theme has its own way of handling the menu links, you can’t really fix this with ‘Page scroll to id’. Maybe there’s a setting in your theme (or ShiftNav) to disable such feature?
