Using Responsive theme, problems with background

    Hi i am new so gentle please.
    I have set my background to an image, my home page is completely transparent and displays correctly, however all the other pages have the background but the pages are white. I need them to also be transparent.
    Can you help, please be aware i am new to this and need step by step info please.
