Using shortcode [facebook-page-plugin] in wordpress.com blogs?

Hello~

I have a wordpress.com website (free plan). I can add the Facebook Page Plugin to the footer of the website as a widget by going to Dashbord -> Appearence -> Widgets. No problem at all.

But it doesn’t work when I try to use the short code ([facebook-page-pluin]) to add the widget to a page or a post in the same website. Is there a reason why?

For example, I tried inserting the example code:

[facebook-page-plugin href=”facebook” width=”300″ height=”500″ cover=”true” facepile=”true” tabs=”timeline” adapt=”true”]

into a post, and the short code just appears as text on the page.
