100 tags! 😮
With the Tag Groups plugin you can join all these tags in one group. The free plugin, as hosted here in the repository, however, isn’t able to help you add tags to posts. So you would need another tool to add all the tags of that group (e.g. identifying them by the field term_group in the database) to a post. (It sounds like a nice feature for the premium version but it’s difficult to predict if 100 tags wouldn’t cause a problem at some point.)
Hi Chris,
Thank you for touching base. Here are a few more details about my use case:
Each day I manually enter 100 tags into the Tag section of the (free) WordPress template.
My blog and website is simplystockinfo.com. I post content related to stocks. Each tag is a stock expressed in ticker symbol.
For now, the only tag grouping that I need is a group titled, “Daily.” Since for now, I just need to understand how to reduce my time effort for manually entering those 100-tags each day.
With is information, can you recommend a plug-in that will carry those 100-tags to a new (free) WordPress template each day?
Thanks,
Tim
Hi Tim,
Thanks for the information. I think I understand what you need, and there might very well be a plugin that can pre-populate the tags field with a set of tags. Unfortunately, nothing comes to my mind now.
The Tag Groups Premium plugin could be able to copy all tags that belong to a group (“Daily”) into the tags field. This could be part of the out-of-the-box features of a (soon) future version. But, I’m afraid, here is not the place to discuss plugins that are not hosted on ww.wp.xz.cn. Head over to chattymango.com for more details.
This feature is available in the premium plugin, so I’m closing this thread now.
