    Dear camelcasedbags,

    Thank you for your question.

We haven’t specifically tested the plugin with single-file TTF variable fonts yet. However, in most cases, a single variable font file can be used for bold, italic, and regular styles seamlessly.

Have you tried uploading the font to the plugin? If so, did it work as expected? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to assist you further.

    Best regards,
    Dinesh Karki

I know what a variable font is bro. I’m asking if you support it.
If you don’t know if you support it, who else will?

    Dear camelcasedbags,

The new system for variable fonts allows different variations in a single file, and I was referring to that. If you have different variations in separate files, the plugin will support them as expected.

If you’re uploading font with multiple variations (such as weight or style), please check the “Font Variation” checkbox. This will allow you to select the font weight and style based on the variations.

    Best regards,
    Dinesh Karki
