    Hi there,

Can your plugin work with the WordPress password protected form on pages/posts?

I am looking to send a notification when someone uses the form.
So, firstly can your plugin hook into that and send a notification?

If it can do that, can your plugin work with custom form fields added to that form? e.g a Name and Email field that would get sent in the notification?

    Many Thanks

    Hi @nickylew,
    Thanks for your message.

When you say password protected form, do you mean a password on a protected post?
If so, then no, unfortunately BNFW doesn’t have a notification for when password protected pages are accessed.

There is a Custom Fields add-on though for adding custom field content to notifications.

    Hope this helps.

    Yes that is correct.

Ok thank you for letting me know. Shame. Would this be a notification that you may add into your plugin in the future?

    Thanks

    Hi @nickylew,
I haven’t had any requests for it yet but i’ll consider it, see how feasible it is to do, and maybe it add it to the roadmap.

    Thanks for your suggestion!

    That’s great!

    Thanks for considering it.

As I am currently struggling to create my own version for this, creating a notification that gets sent to the admin/an email from a custom password form as mentioned. Trying to get it to send the contents of the other fields so that a client can see who has entered the password protected page/post.

    It’s tricky!
