using WPengine with Yoast Premium

Is Yoast suggesting I de-activate my license from my LIVE site while updating STAGING? Then when ready, deactivate the license on STAGING and re-enter it on the LIVE site? That sounds like crazy talk? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

In my case, I have contributing authors / editors making changes in the STAGING environment. They need to be able to test their Yoast SEO strategy before, during and after a post or page has been moved to the LIVE site. Is there no way for one license to belong to both?
