Hi! I manage a website that has been built in a way I have not encountered before. On a single page, there are several individual visual editors to edit each section independently.

However, the Yoast plugin does not seem to recognize the additional editors and only analyzes the first one.

Is there a workaround to allow Yoast to treat multiple visual editors on a single page?

  • Hi @davidexo,

The setup is indeed unusual. Just to understand it better, can you specifically describe how the page is built (the editors used)? Can you share a sample screenshot including how Yoast reads the page (analysis result)?

Hello and thank you for your reply!

I’m not sure this is what you want to know, but the page seems to be built using the basic, out-of-the-box WYSIWYG editor. But in multiple instances; one for each section of the page, instead of having all the different sections in a single editor window.

Again, I don’t remember seeing this before and can’t really explain the reasoning behind it as I wasn’t involved in the development of this custom theme.

I’m including two screenshots. The first one shows the muliple editors (there is one in each “tab”). The second one shows what Yoast reads. Please excuse the French — it says therer is not enough content for SEO, and 0 words for content quality. So I’m thinking it simply doesn’t see any content at all from all the visual editors…

Our plugin analyzes the default WordPress content areas. If the analysis does not pick up all of your information, the site is adding content outside of the default editor. Some plugins and themes, like page builders or visual composers, do not share their content with our analysis feature.

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This KB article will help them with the implementation: Can I add data to the page analysis?

    No further questions/concerns.
