Using zettle as payment method

    Thank you for the great plugin,
    I would like to know if you are planning a zettle-payment method plugin, that works like:
    – you can make a custom user/user role to use the Zettle
    – people can order through the website (like a self serving kiosk)
    – choose the zettle as a payment method (the custom user only has the option Zettle).
    – the zettle automatically receives the order and you can pay the total amount through the zettle.

    Or is there a way to make this myself? I can create the user, and filter the payment methods by this custom user, but I don’t know how the automatically send the total amount to the Zettle.

    If you can help me, or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    I think I got a similar request last month and we opened a development ticket for that.
    Just to verify, this is the problem, correct?

    when a customer buys a product online and wants to pay on pickup at the store via Zettle, there would be a double reduction in stock (1 WC on reservation online and 1 by Zettle on pickup/payment).

    And this is what you want to avoid? You cannot really create this yourself, but as you see we do have it in our “to-do” list, but can’t really give you a date or confirmation on its development.

    When you are talking about creating a custom user profile, there is not much we can do within the Zettle plugin, since users are being governed via WooCommerce, not Zettle.

    Ik zal dit even in het Nederlands uitleggen:
    – We proberen zoveel mogelijk onze website zelf te gebruiken, aangezien deze gebruik maakt van zoekmachine, filters en andere mogelijkheden om het vinden van een product (voor zowel als onze klanten als voor ons zelf).

    Daarom vroeg ik mij af of er op een of andere manier een totaal bedrag doorgestuurd kan worden van de website naar de izettle.

    De rest krijg ik wel voor elkaar (het filteren van de betaalmethoden op basis van welke klant er in logt). Maar dat laatste dus niet.

    Het is wel handig om te weten dat er op dit moment sprake is van een double reduction zeg maar.

    Is er een website waar ik die ‘bug’ kan volgen?

    ja ik kan wel Nederlands, maar omdat mijn collegas ook graag willen weten wat er gebeurt ga ik toch verder in het Engels 😉

    I have added this thread to the story ticket, so you should be updated if/once the pickup in-store function has been developed and released.

    The Zettle plugin is mostly created for synchronizing products, prizes, and stock between WooCommerce and Zettle. We do not (yet) have the intention to add payment systems to this plugin, so I would not look in this direction for such a solution. A better direction would be to see if plugins like WooCommerce Paypal Payments and similar products could be a solution for what you are looking for.

    I hope the answers your questions. Once the pickup function is deployed I will update this thread but will mark it as resolved for now. Don’t hesitate to come back with any additional questions.
