• Hi,

I’m receiving the following notification on my Google Analytics account:

“Property XXXXXXXXX is receiving hits with missing campaign parameters. Some examples (in the format “Source/Medium/Campaign”) are:
    superpwa/(not set)/(not set)
To avoid receiving Google Analytics hits with missing parameters, ensure that links referring to your site have the URL parameters utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign all filled out.”

This is despite having the relevant parameters filled up. I’ve replaced XXXX above with my website name

Do help out as this is critical for my analysis.

    Thanks.

Even after updating the names in the plugin, analytics is still showing that these parameters are missing. Kindly help as I’m losing out on tracking my users.

    Awaiting your response.

    Hello @thesfboy

    Thanks for your patience.

As far as I know, only the Source is mandatory. Everything else is optional.

If you check the manifest, does the start_url property have all the UTM parameters you added?

    Yes. The parameters are showing in my manifest. Here’s an excerpt: start_url”:”.\/?utm_source=superpwa&utm_medium=superpwa_pwa&utm_campaign=superpwa_test”,”scope”:”\/”}

I guess the site URL needs to be listed?

So all the parameters are there in fact.

I googled the error and found this: https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Google-Analytics-Code/Missing-campaign-parameters/td-p/1660392

    As per that:

However GA notification can be triggered even by some minor number of visits from [domain] some time ago

So maybe the notice was triggered before you added all the params.

I don’t think there is anything to worry.

I don’t think that’s the case as on the panel, it gives you the option of enabling a recheck. I’ve done it 2 times after enabling the other two parameters and it is giving the same error warning. In my analytics panel also I’m not seeing separate hits from Superpwa and that’s what that counts.
