    WordPress v6.8.1 with version 9.5.3 of the plugin with a Twenty Twelve child theme.

    I’ve noticed in the past few days an error being logged in my PHP Error Log:

    [07-Jun-2025 15:32:48 UTC] Cron unschedule event error for hook: monsterinsights_admin_notifications_update, Error code: could_not_set, Error message: The cron event list could not be saved., Data: {"schedule":false,"args":[]}

    I’m not seeing a whole bunch of them so it’s not something that’s constantly happening. Any idea what to look at to see what might be causing it?

    Hi @markrh,

    Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble here!

    I’m currently attempting to recreate the error with monsterinsights_admin_notifications_update and consult further with the team. I’ll reach out again with another update, or in case I have further questions.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

    Thanks for looking into it. It hasn’t happened again since then. If it occurs again, will update this thread.

    Hi @markrh,

    I appreciate it!

    Since our team just released a new version of MonsterInsights, and the error hasn’t popped up again for either of us (I haven’t been able to recreate the error), I’m going to go ahead and resolve this thread for now.

    It seems like the error won’t happen moving forward, however, if you do run into it again please reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/. Feel welcome to simply link to this thread and that will prompt our team to continue investigating.

    This way, we can take a look at things directly within your website to resolve the error for you. 🙂

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the response.

    Yeah, it still hasn’t happened again since then. If it happens again, I’ll follow-up at the link you provided. I might also look at other logs to make sure I wasn’t hitting a mysql user connection limit or something at the same time. Don’t remember seeing that before though. Hmm..

    Anyway, thanks again.
