validation rules

Hi,

I want to know how to make validation rules.
My site allows you to submit a booking form even if the form is not complete.
For example, it will be completed even if there is no name or/and no email address or/and no reservation date.
I want to set a validation rule in the plugin to avoid above situation.

Please tell me how to make the validation rules.
