Hi Scoza, it is right that at least one of your category or tag has an apostroph sign in its name? If yes: that is the reason.
I could reconstruct this case in one of my websites. I am currently working on an fix and will publish it soon.

Checking my categories now… I don’t think any of them have an apostrophe.

Nope. No apostrophes. One ended in a full stop. I removed the full stop but still not working.
Would you do me a favour please and try this:
1. Load page ‘Preset Featured Images’ in the browser Firefox.
2. Type the shortkey CTRL + SHIFT + K.
If the Firefox extension “Firebug” is installed you would see the Web Development console.
The button “JS” should be dark grey. If not, please click on it.
Is there any message? If yes, what does it say?

π Took the apostrophe away…now it works!
Thank you for your effort. SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list admin.php:295 was the line I was looking for. That was a good hint, your screenshot too.
I will publish an update soon which is more robust and secure. With it you will be able to use apostrophes in tags.
If the plugin works as you expected I would like you to leave a review.
With the currently new plugin version 8.1 you can use apostrophes in any name of taxonomies, categories, tags and so on.
