Variable product {points} placeholder doesn’t change dynamically

    Hi,

    As the title says, the {points} placeholder does not change when I switch between different variations. Tested this on default Twenty Twenty Five theme and it was not a theme issue. I wasn’t able to find any configuration detail or documentation on this either. While I haven’t tried the pro version, I still didn’t managed to find anything about this feature mentioned in pro version either. Is it still not supported for variable products yet?

    Additionally, the cart or the checkout page doesn’t promoted this notification which the customers will miss unless they are not logged in and directly add the product from archive instead of going inside the product while “Show points on category/shop product listings” is toggled off.

    If there’s an option or a shortcode to show this on cart and checkout, that will be really great. Let me know if we can achieve this by a custom code.

    Hi Nuski,

    We are still working on completing the documentation in full, so it may be missing a few things currently, sorry.

    Regarding the {points} placeholder on product pages for switching to different variations, I see the issue you are referring to! We’ll look into fixing this in the next update.

    With the cart/checkout page, please could you share a screenshot/example of what kind of notification you’d like to see on there exactly?

    Thanks for letting me know. Looking forward to the update for variable products.

    What meant by notification is that when you visit cart while logged in you get this:

    “Your Points”

    “129 Points” <- this part however is only going to work if the customer is logged in.

    But the “You will earn 3 points from this order!” should be an option visible those who are not logged in too.

    Yes, I see this is missing for logged out users. Will take a look into fixing this in the next update. 👍
