Variable products not syncing

Same issue with me, the simple products are syncing but not the variable ones.

Hi @devtestee and @pierremare,

Sorry to hear you are having some problems with variable products sync. To help narrow down the problem, can you please confirm the following?

Each variation of the product is set to sync and show in the catalog.
Product sync is enabled at WP-Admin > Marketing > Facebook > Product sync
Are the products in-stock?
Is this happening to all your variable products in the store?

Okay:

1. Each variation is set to “sync and show in catalogue” in each of the variant’s Facbook sync drop down. The main box is also ticket at Marketing -> Facebook -> Product sync.

2. Products are marked as in stock

3. Yes all variable products. On the right hand side pan, within the product screen, where you have the Variant ID’s they are blank with no values. There is a main Facebook ID only.

I have re-synced all products and tried to “Reset Facebook meta data” with no luck.

Any other ideas?

Hi @pierremare

Thanks for letting us know what you have tried so far.

Can you try making some small changes on the variations and save and then try to force a manual sync in the plugin settings at Marketing> Facebook> Product Sync, and then let us know if that works?

If not, can you please provide the following:
1) A copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
2) A screenshot of the product’s variations

Hi @pierremare

The site’s PHP memory_limit could be causing some problems with sync. We generally recommend a limit of at least 512mb to ensure that everything is covered, though extreme situations could demand more.

Occasionally, deleting or resetting all products from the Facebook catalog and then letting things sync again is the only way to fix strange issues. This requires a code snippet, which you can read more about here:

Thank you for this. I am going to check about upping the limit and follow instructions to delete the catalogue and re-sync from scratch. Will update here hopefully in the next 48 hours. Thank you.

Hello again it is I!

I just want to thank you Amanda.
I managed to change the websites’s memory allocation to 512 Megabytes and hit re sync in the plugin settings and that did the trick. hopefully this will help others too!

There are a couple of ways to change the memory limit. In my case I have access to the website root folder. In the Public_html folder there is a hidden file called .htaccess

backup just in case (download it) then edit the (.htaccess) file by adding: php_value memory_limit 256M

And bang, it worked! Thanks very much I have been struggling for weeks on and off.
