Variable Width Posts // COMPLETELY STUMPED //

Hi there. I’m currently constructing a blog within my portfolio site. I’m creating a rather unorthodox horizontal layout following that of the Horizontal Way Website.

I’m needing to include images as it will be a mainly visual blog. Currently I can vary the width of a post but the width depends solely on the amount of characters in the paragraph tag. I’m wanting to have the pictures display as they do currently but is it possible to then just have the paragraph fixed. So I can upload as many photos as i want in a post but my little quip about the photos would stay at say 350px wide. I’ve tried multiple div’s in the php content and in the code of the post and nothing seems to work.
