variables in comments don’t work

    I think this very basic example doesn’t work:

    $version: "1.2.3";
/* This CSS is generated by My Snazzy Framework version #{$version}. */

    In the sense that variables don’t get substituted inside comments.
    I tried the same two lines in http://www.sassmeister.com and they work.
    Can somebody confirm this?
    Looks like it has to do with the sass compiler, right?
