    Hi,

    I am using the plugin and have two questions. One is a small one, and another one is a big issue.

    Small Question:
    How do I translate the ‘or’ on the cart page into my language (in this case German ‘oder’, or to edit the text of the button, so that instead of ‘paypal’ the button says something like ‘pay with paypal’ or something. Basically, how to edit the texts of the plugin.

    Big Problem:
    On the single page Button, after the process I am returned to the checkout page with an error that a product variation needs to be selected. This happens even if on the product page the variation was already selected. (Currently this option is disabled).

    You can use a plugin called Loco Translate to be able to pull this off. The instructions for the plugin are found here.

    On the single page Button, after the process I am returned to the checkout page with an error that a product variation needs to be selected. This happens even if on the product page the variation was already selected.

    We tested adding a few products to the cart and going to PayPal to see if the error showed, and selecting either PayPal Plus or regular PayPal sent us to a screen without issue.

    Can you shed some more light on this particular issue – what product was selected, what was the exact error? Also please turn on logging for PayPal under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal > Advanced Settings and then run a test to see what happens with PayPal’s side? You can check the logs after at WooCommerce > Status > Logs, there will be a PayPal express/checkout log option in the drop down.

    I have now added the single product option.
    I chose this product:

    selected one of the sizes (for example 500 ml, not even default one)
    pay pal jetzt kaufen

    logged in, clicked ‘weiter’ (go on with purchase)
    when returned to page, on top comes the error notice text:
    Bitte wähle Produktausführungen … (basically it says select product option)

    This does not happen when going from the cart, only from a single product page (with variation.

    Hi there!

    I was able to add that product to my cart and go to PayPal with no problem.

    Is it possible the difference is that you are doing this while logged in as an admin, and/or that your PayPal Account is the same account used on the site? If you test with a different PayPal account, does that make a difference?

    If you temporarily disable all plugins except WooCommerce core and PayPal Checkout and switch themes to Twenty Seventeen, does that make a difference?

    Hi,

    I have tried various computers, tablets and cellphones, with various accounts.
    When I do it directly from the product page of a product with variation, after completion and return to the checkout page I receive on top the error (written in red):
    Bitte wähle Produktausführungen …
    The right article is in cart, but for some reason there is this error (going back to cart and then returning to the checkout makes the error disappear).
    This does not happen when I proceed form the cart page, only from a single product page (an option that I currently disabled due to this error).

    Can I somehow upload a log file form the plugin for you to see the problem?

    Could you provide your Status report from WooCommerce > Status > Get system status from the WP Admin? I’d like to see what plugins and what theme is currently active. Typically issues like this are caused by a theme or plugin conflict.

    Could you also try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Checkout to see if this resolves the issue? There may be a template override applied to the theme. If so, then re-enable each one at a time until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    In testing this on the site I see the page has a couple of JS errors that is likely the cause for the issue. Try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Checkout to see if this resolves the issue.

    If so, then re-enable each one at a time until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    I did that, the error exists

    if i use the old button no error, use smart payment buttons error
