Variation inputs not saving

I have had issues with variations in the past, and they continue to arise. I sell a product with multiple variations, and sometimes some variations won’t save, especially once I start to have 40 or more. On one product I have right now there are about 10 products whose pictures wont save, and when I “enable” them in the check box they won’t save when I hit update. I have tried doing them one at a time, and still have no luck. The Prices have saved, but trying to add a picture and enable the variation won’t save. Is this because there is a cap on how many variations you can have? I need these products out soon so your help is appreciated!
