We often create orders from the Back End of our WooCommerce site.

We used to be able to see the Variation when adding the product to an order, but now only the SKU is shown and the variation only shows up after it’s added. This makes it difficult and time-consuming to choose the correct size.

I think it started with WC 3.0.

    1) Anyone else rely on Variations when processing Back End orders?

    2) Any know of a trick to bring Variations back?

Boom! Thank you @volcommy that fixed it!

Not sure how WooCommerce expects a company with many variations to use the Back End search.

Possibly to go by Sku, but that – eh – could work to an extent, but remembering SKU’s isn’t ideal

SKUs are often random numbers, just like a “customer number”, they have no inherent meaning.

You could incorporate the variation into the SKU, but I assume most haven’t done that. My SKUs are the same across 4 different platforms, so changing them is not an option.
