Hello, I have the following problem:
A (B2B) customer wants to order something from my shop (using a VAT ID). My shop is based in Germany, the customer is in France.

When the customer enters their VAT ID, the VAT is deducted from the total amount as usual. However, when you then click on PayPal, the VAT is added again. (When I tested it myself, I was taken to PayPal as normal, confirmed the order without VAT, and instead of being taken to the “Order received” screen, I was redirected to PayPal again — this time with the VAT included.)

I’m not sure whether this error/conflict comes from this plugin or from another one, but I tested it with your Stripe plugin and it worked without any problems.

I also use the following relevant plugins:

    • WooCommerce
    • Germanized (Pro)
    • Germanized One Stop Shop (I’m taking part in OSS)

    Less relevant:

    • Elementor + Pro

Could you check or test this?

    Thanks

    Hi @billy85

Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins. Can you confirm if you’re using the PayPal checkout button or you have the option Use place order button enabled?

Do you have a staging site where this behavior can be replicated in sandbox mode? If so can you share a link to that url?

Please share any relevant test data like a VAT ID that we would need for our test.

    Kind Regards

    Hi there,

sorry I didn’t reply. I was busy and I kind of forgot about it, since it happens quite rarely, that a B2B customer from another country orders something.

However, the problem still exists. Another customer contacted me today

I do have a staging site. Is there a possibility to post the link not visible to everyone?

BTW: I’m not even sure this is your plugin thats causing this. This might be Woocommerce or something
