When a customer pays using Venmo through the PayPal for WooCommerce plugin, the funds are processed by PayPal and deposited into your connected PayPal account — not directly into your Venmo account.
To clarify:
- The customer pays using their Venmo app.
- The payment is handled through PayPal’s gateway.
- The money is received in your PayPal business account, just like any other PayPal payment.
- You can view the transaction in your PayPal account dashboard.
Venmo is simply offered as a customer-facing option via PayPal — no separate Venmo merchant account is needed.
